Before even starting my music video, I researched into the genre of which the song I'd chosen; Bring Me The Horizon - Sleepwalking, which is defined as 'Post-Hardcore'. I created a presentation identifying the origins, development and conventions of the music created, as well as the typical values and characteristics of the bands attitude and it's members. It was important to research into the genre, this way I knew what ideas and conventions I shold essentially include in my music video. It allowed me to more easily gather ideas and focus on what my music video should portray, whilst both including my ideas and intergrating typcial conventions of the genre.
